Starting with the Bargello, where innumerable masterpieces are kept such as sculptures and applied arts,on to Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria, the best synthesis of 14th century urban civil architecture; then we will visit the major palaces of late Medieval Florence. You will see Palazzo Alberto, home of the Renaissance architect and theoretician Leon Battista Alberti, who designed, among other buildings, the splendid Rucellai and Strozzi Palaces. The latter is a masterpiece of Florentine Renaissance civil architecture; today, it is the seat of the National Institute of Renaissance Studies.
