Two castles which define Naples’ landscape profile. Having arisen as defensive complexes, over the centuries they became, thanks to their strategic position and to the beauty of the site, royal residences. Each one has a precise personality: Castel Sant’Elmo, built in the form of a 6-pointed star, is visible from all parts of the city. The Charterhouse of San Martino, this old 14th century monastery hosts one of the city’s richest collections of Neopolitan art and history, collected over the centuries by the monks.

The Experience

The thirst destination is the amazing Castel Sant’Elmo which was originally constructed by the Anjou rulers in 1329. A recent, thorough remodelling has restored its original splendor. It is possible to visit the prisons and the terraces which offer a spectacular view of Naples and its gulf. The Charterhouse of San Martino and its national museum, both of which should not be missed are the second destination. From the precious frescoes and sculptures to the old Nativity scenes, the museum is an “intensive course” for understanding Naples’ art and soul.

The voucher includes two tickets for the Castel Sant'Elmo or the Cartherhouse of San Martino. Additionally, an aperitif with sampling of fine food is served at Gambrinus lounge for two persons.
